Mindfulness. 15 Nov 2010

Mindfulness   Of late, I’ve come to realise the impact of mindfulness. Imagine a world for yourself and for others, where we immerse ourselves in the here and now.

If we could focus all of our energy and attention to what is in front of us, in what experiences we are faced with, how much easier would it be? How much harder could it be? For I myself, am guilty of not always being in the present. Of either thinking of what was or what is to come. Orientating yourself so that you spend your time in the here and now, being open to the experiences you face rather than viewing it through all kinds of lenses that could ultimately cloud your true vision….. that is hard. It is a moment by moment struggle, I feel.  But I believe it is worth the effort. For haven’t you already noticed how much of what you do, think, say and  live is what is in your head instead of what is really before you?
